About Somali American Association
Our Mission
At the Somali American Association, we strive to to empower the African diaspora in Ohio by implementing comprehensive youth programs. Additionally, the organization promotes agricultural sustainability for immigrants and refugees, fosters community growth, and facilitates the integration of refugee and immigrant mothers through English language instruction and support programs.
Our Programs
Our Black Youth Empowerment program aims to create a supportive and engaging environment for youth from the African diaspora. Our mission is to connect young individuals with successful Black adults who have graduated from high school, pursued college, and built fulfilling careers. By providing mentorship from individuals who understand their experiences, we strive to inspire and empower the next generation.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
